IACUC/Animal Approval
Approval Process
To perform imaging research involving animal subjects, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) approvals must be obtained for individual research projects. Prior to planning an experimental design and grant submission, an investigator should discuss the feasibility of the experimental protocols with imaging facility directors or managers, in particular, for studies involving live animals, biological materials, and radioactive materials. The imaging facility must be approved for specific procedures involving these materials.
Transport
Animal transport between sites is arranged through the Department of Comparative Medicine.
Hospital Resources
Hospital imaging resources are currently not approved for animal research unless otherwise specified.
