Through the study of the causes, processes, development, and consequences of stroke and ischemic heart disease, the Pathology group generates the fundamental research questions to be profiled and resolved by imaging techniques. This group also uses histology data to validate corresponding MRI results. Thomas Hatsukami, MD, and Marina Ferguson, MT, administer this group.
