The Vascular Imaging Laboratory (VIL) at the University of Washington is comprised of a multi-disciplinary group of researchers who are dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge, education, and training in the field of medical imaging. We develop high resolution imaging technology for the medical community.

Mission Statement

The Vascular Imaging Lab is committed to advancing imaging technology and identifying the underlying causes of cardiovascular disease initiation, progression, and complications.

3rdAnnual MRI of Carotid Atherosclerosis Workshop, September 16-18th, 2009

NOTICE: Due to unforeseen conflicts with most of our course instructors, we are having to cancel this year’s carotid imaging workshop originally scheduled for September 16-18, 2009. 

If you are still interested in attending our workshop, please send us an e-mail to vil@u.washington.edu and we will add your name and contact information to our Early Notification list so that you will be notified as soon as we decide on when we will reschedule.

The VIL held its second annual workshop on 3T MR imaging of vulnerable carotid plaque.

Carotid Atherosclerosis Imaging Symposium - September 26th, 2008

In conjunction with the imaging workshop, the VIL held its second imaging symposium, entitled Carotid Atherosclerosis Imaging: Application in Clinical Trials and Natural History Studies
