Imaging Research Laboratory
The IRL Scientific Retreat will be Sept. 24, 2009. Please click on EDUCATION for more info.
Physics and engineering research at the Imaging Research Laboratory is clustered around two main topics: Developing a small animal PET imaging system optimized to image mice and improving the imaging capabilities for clinical PET and PET/CT scanners for humans.
Images from a combined PET/CT scanner that provides fusion images of anatomy and molecular function. This type of imaging has had a major impact on cancer diagnosis and shows significant potential for planning and monitoring treatment therapy. See more images here.
