Figure 6. Primate PET imaging of Cu-64 labeled monoclonal antibodies, anti-CD45, for acute leukemia treatment. Whole-body images of a monkey were obtained at multiple-time points on day 0 and day 2 using a dedicated high-resolution primate PET scanner. Monoclonal antibodies were produced at FHCRC, Cu-64 labeled antibodies were prepared at UW, and animal preparation and imaging were performed at Washington National Primate Research Center/UW Radiology Neuroimaging and Biotechnology Laboratory. Maximum intensity project images show biodistribution of this new Cu-labeled antibody. This animal imaging research is to develop Cu radioisotope-based therapy and dosimetry techniques for acute leukemia treatment in humans. (Pagel, Rajendran, Press, Lewellen, Minoshima, et al.)
