Biography

I was born in Seattle, WA and grew up in Shoreline, WA. I attended Shorewood high school, where I ran track and cross country and worked as an artist for the school newspaper and yearbooks.

For undergraduate training, I attended the University of Washington where I continued to run long distance competitively. Later, I studied the neuroscience of pattern generation in crustacean model systems, both at UW Biology Department and abroad in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Desiring a change of pace, I migrated south to attend medical school at the University of Miami. There, I developed an interest in Diagnostic Radiology. Outside of school, I took up Kiteboarding, and got more involved in mountain biking (yes, despite the lack of mountains in South Florida).

Now I am stoked to be back home in Seattle, WA at the University of Washington as a Husky Radiologist!
