UWMC/Roosevelt Billing and Insurance Information
The pricing information is only an estimate. Many factors will influence the actual amount of the final bills, including whether your practitioner finds it necessary to perform more, less or different procedures at the time of service. There may also be radiology, laboratory, pathology or other services that would result in additional charges. There will be two separate bills- one from the University of Washington Physicians for the professional services and one from the University of Washington Medical Center for the facility charges. There may also be additional bills related to diagnostic tests or the professional charges of an anesthesiology provider.
If your services are covered by insurance benefits, the insurance company will decide the amount you are responsible for paying. Your actual final financial responsibility will likely vary greatly from the estimated price. In order to understand your out-of -pocket costs, you should contact your insurance company to discuss your benefits. They will need the procedure code(s) and billed charges information (please call 206-598-7200 for the code(s). You should also give them the UWP and UWMC charges separately, so they may be able to determine how your benefits will be applied to each bill.
