Submit Final Reports
Closing the project involves submitting a number of internal and external reports. Exact reporting requirements may vary by sponsor and funding opportunity, but generally, the PI will need to submit the following:

Final Technical Report Submitted to Sponsor

Response to Notice of Expiration from GCA

Notice to OSP of any inventions that may have resulted from the project

Close Budget
Once the budget expires and/or necessary paperwork is received from the Department, GCA begins the process of reconciling all budgetary information prior to closing the budget. Please see GCA's Grant and Contract Closing Process for more information.
Disposition Records
Various grant records are associated with specific legal requirements for retention. Please see Records Management- Records Retention Schedule for complete instructions on both retention and archival of grant-related records.
