  1. How do I apply?

    All applications are through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

  2. What is needed to complete the application?

    We need the following materials in order to complete your application:

    1. Application
    2. Narrative statement
    3. Curriculum vitae
    4. USMLE scores
    5. Dean's Letter and medical school transcripts
    6. Three letters of recommendation with one of the letters from your internship or current residency director, if applying as a physician candidate.

  3. What is the deadline for receiving applications?

    December 1st.

  4. What qualifications do I need?

    We are currently reviewing guidelines for the 2008-2009 application period; please check back. You cannot receive a Radiology Masters or Technology degree through this program.

    We have no minimum score requirements, however, in recent years successful candidates have had scores of at least 220.

  5. What are the Matching Program Options?

    Candidates may enter the University of Washington Radiology Residency Program by one of the following pathways:

    1. Transitional year positions at Swedish Medical Center beginning 2008, linked to four years of Diagnostic Radiology beginning 2009. This program is listed as:
      • Univ. Washington Affil.
      • Univ. Washington Hosp. RADIOLOGY-DIAGNOSTIC 1918420C0
    2. Second year positions, four years of Diagnostic Radiology beginning 2009. Prerequisite is at least one year of clinical experience in an approved program. This program is listed as:

      • Univ. Washington Hosp. RADIOLOGY-DIAGNOSTIC 1918420A0
  6. Does our Department accept applications from International Medical Graduates?

    We are currently reviewing guidelines for the 2008-2009 application period; please check back.

  • Does our Department/Institution sponsor J-1 or H-1 Visas?

    We will consider sponsoring an H-1 visa under certain circumstances.
