CALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Call starts at the beginning of the second year of radiology. We have night- float rotations at the UW Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. Typically, residents cover eight to nine weeks of night float during their entire residency, as well as weekend day or night shifts. Residents rotating through Children’s Hospital take call at that site.

On-call residents always have fellow and attending back-up, onsite in the evenings at Harborview Medical Center, and otherwise via teleradiology.
