10:30 – 11:00 am – Sometimes the Med ICU team arrives separately to review their studies, occasionally they will arrive at the same time as the Medicine post-call team. Frequently, Pulm will also ask to see chest CT’s on their consult patients.
TU/THURS – There are occasional arthrograms to perform. The patients and studies are listed on the fluoroscopy board the afternoon before. Each patient needs a pre-procedural note in the chart before the exam. Medications, allergies, indications need review, there must be a request for the exam. For all patients – you must indicate that a medication reconciliation was performed in the procedural note and in your dictation. You must also indicate the type and amount of contrast/anesthetic/steroid used as well as the fluoroscopy time. Consent must be obtained and can be either paper or electronic.
