Seattle Children's Elective (C3) Rotation

III.    Seattle Children’s Elective (C3) Rotation

This fifth-month SCH rotation allows the interested resident to design and pursue a month’s elective in the area of his or her choice.  This may include additional training in ultrasound, pediatric computed tomography, MRI or directed research with a member of the attending staff.  If this elective is taken, the resident will be able to advance training in an area of interest or perceived need.  This is at the discretion of the resident in agreement with the Director and section head, i.e., MRI section.  This rotation is encouraged for any resident interested in pediatric radiology, but may also be of interest to those pursuing body imaging, neuroradiology or with greater interest in the diseases of children.  Research in clinical or basic areas may also be performed.

Most residents have elected to do one month of MRI.
