Case 62c

Correct.  Irregular hypoechoic mass with calcifications measuring up to 32 mm at the site of the clinically palpable mass in the upper inner quadrant at 10 30 o'clock at a distance of 4 cm from the
nipple. Either BI-RADS 4 or 5 would be correct.  In this case, the finding was reported as BI-RADS 5 with recommendation for ultrasound guided biopsy.  Pathology was consistent with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

Patient underwent breast MRI with no additional abnormalities identified.  The MRI size of the lesion was similar to the ultrasound measurment.  The patient proceeded elected for bilateral mastectomy.
