BI-RADS 4, Suspicious. This is a neodensity which persists on diagnostic views. Regardless of the result of an ultrasound exam, biopsy is indicated. Because it is new, it is not considered benign or probably benign (since we already know it is NOT stable).

Does this image change your assessment? Subtle hypoechoic oval and linear foci are present at the site of mammographic density. The ultrasound should only help confirm your suspicions about this density if it shows a mass or shadowing. Do not be derailed if the ultrasound fails to supply this added evidence.
You perform a core needle biopsy and the pathologist reports "fibrosis." Is this considered concordant?
