The diagnostic work-up of the right breast mass:
Given that we have already found a cancer on the left, what is your assessment of the right breast?
- BI-RADS 2 - Benign - Simple cyst. Follow-up mammogram in 12 months
- BI-RADS 3 - Probably benign. Probably simple cyst. Follow-up ultrasound in 6 months.
- BI-RADS 4 - Suspicious. Cyst is suspicious because of the contralateral cancer. Recommend FNA..
